Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
There is nothing wrong with praying to God for healing, but lest we forget, Bible tells us He has given us the power to heal.
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
Do not let anyone tell you this power is reserved only for the apostles or first century believers. Jesus Himself says it is available to anyone who believes.
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: … to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
(1 Corinthians 12″7-9)
If you are a believer, the sign of healing is meant to follow after you, the gift of healing is meant to be your portion and you can heal by the power of the Spirit and in the name of Jesus!
