He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’
Contrary to what many believe, the Christian faith is built upon real history, and the Resurrection is the one of the most well-attested historical event.
He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.

And because He really died and rose again, we can know for sure that all our sins are really forgiven.
