Fake Stuff


The Mandarin: A true story about fortune cookies. They look Chinese. They sound… Chinese. But they’re actually an American invention. Which is why they’re hollow, full of lies, and leave a bad taste in the mouth.

While Mandarin was talking about fortune cookies (though it was really the Americans he was referring to), we could also use those words to describe certain people who we have the misfortune of meeting.

It is okay to have flaws, okay to make mistakes, even okay to have some skeletons in your closet (who doesn’t?). But what is not okay is to be hypocritical about it.

It is easier to move on if we would just acknowledge our faults…
