The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and He let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
(1 Sam 3:19)
Our words do carry power. In fact, the Bible tells us that the tongue (our spoken words) “has the power of life and death.” (Pro 18:21).
But it does not mean all words are created equal.
Some words are meant for good, edifying and encouraging. But many are meant for evil, slandering, criticizing and condemning.
But thank God that He alone should decide which are the words that will hold up and which are the ones that will “fall to the ground.” And if His promise of “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse,” to Abraham and his seeds (those who are in Christ Jesus) is anything to go by… then we can have the assurance which are those that will fall away.
Those that annointed by the Lord will be held up, those that are meant for evil are bound to fall away…
