Some people think it is very difficult to understand God. Sometimes He is love, sometimes He is wrath, but yet He is the same yesterday, today and tommorrow.
So what is our Daddy God really like? Let’s look for the answer in the Bible:
…Return to the LORD your God,
for He is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and He relents from sending calamity.
I don’t know about you, but the verse is really quite self-explanatory, even for the theologians… I hope.
And this idea of a gracious and merciful God is found again in the below:
I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.
Mind you, the above are 2 Old Testament prophets who lived in the days before Jesus came, and even they, who are under the law, knew who God really is.
But why do many of us, who are believers under the new covenant of grace, remain so blind to see that? Can you just take away that veil on your heart?
